Rabindra Jayanti Post

“হে নূতন, দেখা দিক আর-বার জন্মের প্রথম শুভক্ষণে…”

Rabindra Jayanti, celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, is a tribute to his timeless poetry, music, and philosophy that continue to inspire generations.

Our school marked this special day with grandeur, graced by the esteemed presence of school management dignitaries and enthusiastic parents. The program commenced with inspiring speeches from our respected Principal and Additional Secretary, followed by a heartfelt recitation, a melodious group song, and gracious group dances.

The crown jewel of the celebration was the majestic dance drama “Chitrangada”, one of Tagore’s most powerful works. More than just a story, Chitrangada stands as a bold proclamation of feminism, portraying the strength, self-respect, and inner power of women. It tells the tale of a warrior princess who refuses to conform to society’s definitions of beauty and worth, choosing instead to embrace her true self. By bringing Chitrangada to life on stage, our performers paid homage to Tagore’s vision of empowered womanhood — a message that remains deeply relevant and inspiring even today.
