The developers of the model have said, “In the model TerraSecure, we have worked on an IoT-based Landslide Alert System . The goal is to create a model that can detect potential landslides and alert authorities before it occurs thus saving lives. Tho we have created a landslide detector, our system can detect floods as well.
We have used an Arduino Uno board, a Humidity and Temperature sensor, Vibration sensor, Moisture sensor, and Gyroscope to detect any abnormalities in the environment that may indicate a landslide.
Depending on the frequency of the buzzer for the moisture and the vibration sensors, our device can detect potential floods and landslide in the hilly areas, allowing people to move accordingly.”
