Inter school Fest at Sri Shikshaytan ( Jubilare 19 )

The events in which the students participated are 1.Color Splash( Painting) 2. Frozen Shadows (Photography) 3. Twist in the taste ( No fire Cooking) 4. Junk -n-Fun ( best out of waste). All the events were based on this topic.

Anti Addiction Workshop held by Bobby Chakraborty, an Actor and Activist

A workshop on anti addiction was conducted by actor and activist Bobby Chakraborty for the students of classes ix to xii in the school Auditorium. He laid stress on different types of substance abuses and it’s negative impact. His lucid yet energetic presentation created an impact on the students.

Debate organised By Calcutta Debating Circle.

Participants were Harrow School London and the host school The BSS School Kolkata. The motion of the debate of the International Inter School Debating Festival, in association with The Telegraph, was ‘In Social Media , we are alone, surrounded by thousands’.

Jazz Theater ” a workshop for Class XI students.

This workshop was conducted by Mr Sumit Roy, the cofounder of ‘The Red Curtain’ a well theatre group in India and his team of three members. The workshop introduced the participants to the foundational idea of Jazz Theater by using different dramatic tools, experiences and discussion.

Talk Like Steve Jobs’ workshop on communication skills by Kritika Bagaria

Ms Bagaria conducted a very friendly, interactive and skilled 2 days workshop for the Class XI students. The students at the end of the day took home with them the imporTance of Eye contact, voice modulation, facial expressions, tone of voice, pause and the most important-body language.

The students participated in a essay writing, elocution competition to mark the Birthday of Sri Aurobindo at Future Foundation School.

Trip to Khiddirpore Dock yards

Science and Arts students having Geography as elective subject paid a visit to Khidderpore Docks. They were fortunate enough to see INS Kirpan docked there. There was a session on joining the Indian navy as a career option.
